New members are always welcome! Membership of Endeavour Rowing
Club can take a number of forms, ranging from full members through to social
(non-rowing members) and students. ERC
also offers a Learn-to-Row membership for those people who want to give
rowing a “try before they buy”. Membership is compulsory
for all people associated with the club, as it covers the club and its
members for insurance purposes in the event of a mishap. Membership fees for the
2009/2010 season can be downloaded from the link below. The membership form must be completed and
returned to the Club Registrar each year. *Members storing boats are reminded that in the event of
rack space becoming limited, the first boats required to leave the shed will
be those boats which are not being used. ERC Sunday Club Morning: Every Sunday morning Endeavour holds club rowing where all members and prospective members are catered for. We run a four week Learn to Row program (see Membership Form for cost) where experienced coaches and coxes instruct new rowers in this fascinating sport. These L-platers then have the option of joining the club and enjoying full club membership. More experienced rowers are placed into compatible crews
and can be seen rowing upriver as far as Hinton, Morpeth and beyond; some
crews being there for the ambience and fresh air and some for more serious
pre-regatta training. Following the washdown and returning of boats and blades to their racks, coffee and tea is available at a cost of $2.00.
